I’m sure at some point in your life, someone gave you a second chance.

Would you be where you are today without it?

If you believe in second chances—like I do—then we need your help.

A crucially important expungement bill, SB 288 ([link removed]) , will be voted on by the full Senate tomorrow (Thursday). This is the first expungement bill to reach the floor of the Senate since 2013. The measure is important because it represents a step forward for criminal justice reform coupled with improved economic opportunity for the impoverished.

SB 288 will allow certain misdemeanor convictions to be restricted and sealed four years after completion of a sentence. The bill is a measured approach that recognizes the need to ensure public safety without being unnecessarily punitive to people who have paid their debt to society and been law-abiding for a considerable period of time.

Would you take a few moments to contact your state senator in support of SB 288?
