friend – for just one week you can double your impact.

Because every donation we receive via The Big Give Christmas Challenge will be doubled by our generous match funders.

That means that by donating today you can turn £10 into £20, £25 into £50, and £50 into £100!

And twice the value means twice the impact for our campaigns – and the people round the world affected by unjust debt.

With debt repayments at their highest levels in 25 years, and 54 countries in debt crisis, it’s sometimes easy to get lost in the numbers and forget what they mean for people’s lives in the real world.

But the impacts of unjust debt are clear. Money that could go to hospitals or schools – or responding to climate-driven disasters – is instead being diverted into debt repayments to some of the world’s richest banks and hedge funds.

In the UK we can see the NHS still struggling to recover after the impacts of the pandemic. Imagine if our government had to pay three times more on debt repayments than on healthcare. This is the situation in Ghana – just one of the countries in crisis.

You and I know this isn’t right. And luckily we can do something about it. Because 90% of lending to the lowest-income countries is enforced through UK Courts, a new law here could force lenders to cancel debt. And free up funds for healthcare, education and tackling the climate crisis.

Since we launched our campaign in April, we’ve already made significant progress in making this law a reality, with our work to influence MPs and decision-makers showing real results. Now it’s vital we keep up the pressure!

friend, you can turbo-charge our plans for 2024 because anything you donate via The Big Give will be DOUBLED. Can you donate today to push our campaign forward to the next level?

With a general election on the horizon, we know that 2024 is going to be a key year. And we have big plans to make the most of it. But we can only turn those plans into action with your support.

Donate today to double your impact and:

↗️ Raise the pressure on banks, hedge funds and the UK government

📰 Generate more exposure of the role of banks and hedge funds in the global debt crisis

⚖️ Win over the support of MPs and key decision-makers

🌍 And keep the voices and priorities of our allies in the global south in the spotlight

Please note, The Big Give Christmas Challenge runs for just one week. We only have until midday on 5 December to make to most of the matched fund pot available – or lose out. Will you join with hundreds of other Debt Justice supporters to make sure we can make the most of this opportunity?
Yes, I want to get my donation doubled ([link removed])
