Today is Cyber Monday which, along with Small Business Saturday and Black Friday, helps kick off the holiday shopping season. In November we observe Aviation History Month, Diabetes Month, and Family Caregivers Month. The 2023 Hurricane Season ends on November 30.

Small Business Saturday: November 25
In 2021, there were 8,148,606 U.S. establishments. Most (7,037,001) had 19 employees or less and averaged about 4.3, according to the County Business Patterns annual series.

Black Friday: November 24
The retail trade sector had 1,036,879 establishments, 15.8 million employees and $541.4 billion in annual revenue in 2021, according to the County Business Patterns annual series.

National Aviation History Month: November
The Manufacturers' Shipments, Inventories and Orders (M3) Survey reports the 2022 seasonally adjusted value of shipments of U.S. total defense aircraft and parts was $54.5 billion. Nondefense was $117.3 billion.

National Diabetes Month: November
The County Business Patterns program in 2021 counted 8,440 U.S. kidney dialysis centers with 131,953 paid employees and a $7.6 billion annual payroll.

National Family Caregivers Month: November
In 2022, there were 764,521 U.S. personal care aides, 391,950 child care workers and 261,817 home health aides, according to the American Community Survey.
