This has been a consequential year for the gun safety movement. We’ve celebrated historic legislation and faced off against the gun lobby in court. But we’ve also watched as horrific mass shootings continue to tear communities apart.

Americans have proven time and again that they support gun safety laws and want leaders who stand up to the gun lobby, and Giffords Law Center is doing everything we can to make this vision for a safer country a reality.

I hope you’ll consider donating to Giffords Law Center this Giving Tuesday. More than 40,000 people die from gun violence every year in America, and we must take a stand. Some generous supporters have offered to match every donation we receive, dollar for dollar—so your contribution will go twice as far.

Meeting our fundraising goal will allow us to hit the ground running in the new year. We’ll only stop our country’s gun violence epidemic if we work together, and we’ve made tremendous progress so far. But this is only the beginning.
