Much to be Thankful For Despite the chaos and hardships facing our world, I'm grateful for the opportunity to reflect on all there is to be thankful for. We are extremely blessed to live in the United States of America — the land of the free — and I'm thankful my constituents have entrusted me to serve our district and the country I love. However, without the men and women of our military who courageously risk their lives, our democracy and freedoms would not be possible. For these brave Americans, I am always thankful. Most of all, I'm thankful for my beautiful family. They inspire me every day, and I can't imagine a life without them. Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours, and God bless America. Texas Is Not Responsible for President Biden's Failed Border Policies President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas’ failed border policies have opened the floodgates to illegal immigration, human trafficking, and cartel crime. Now that even Democrats in sanctuary cities are calling out for help, the Biden administration is reportedly considering a policy that would require immigrants to remain in Texas while awaiting asylum eligibility determinations. In other words, the administration wants to dump the consequences of its actions onto Texas — the state already bearing the brunt of the crisis. I won't stand for it. This week, I joined my Texas colleagues in introducing a bill that would prohibit any sort of "Remain in Texas" policy and make one thing clear: Our state is not responsible for this administration’s deliberate and fully preventable failures. What's even more sickening [is] the idea that bin Laden was a prophet and a hero. ... That's what China wants [young people] to believe, it's what Russia and what Iran want them to believe." One of his top priorities [should be] to get an American wrongfully detained in China out of there and back home to Houston Texas."
