John, I wanted to reach out to thank you personally for taking our pledge on World Wildlife Day. We asked champions of wildlife to tell us one thing they would commit to doing to help both plants and animals in the face of increasingly alarming warnings.
The sheer number of responses was overshadowed only by the creative and uplifting commitments our wildlife army was brave enough to put to word. But this month, we need more from Wildlife Champions like you.
Each March, the Membership Month Matching Gift Challenge supports important conservation work we do for the rest of the year, John. Reaching this year’s $100,000 goal by March 31 will give us the resources we need to save at-risk species and advocate strongly for pro-wildlife policies.
Will you make a matched gift of any amount today to help make this the most successful Membership Month to date and fund critical conservation programs?
Your generous donation will support programs and initiatives that:
- Fight plastics pollution by educating the public about single-use plastics as well as how to recycle properly. The problem isn’t going away, but we’re making headway through initiatives like our impactful Recyclemania - Campus Race to Zero Waste program across college campuses.
- Support projects to protect and develop wildlife habitat at all levels. From our Garden for Wildlife and Community Wildlife Habitat initiatives to develop greater connectivity in communities to our efforts to support wildlife crossings that reconnect fragmented habitats, we are working at all levels to reconnect and restore wildlife habitat.
- Plant native trees in areas of the country that need them to improve and restore wildlife habitat. In some cases this means rebuilding from a recent disaster. In other instances, we’re introducing new trees in urban areas that not only benefit people, but provide for wildlife in cities.
That’s why our Membership Month Matching Gift Challenge is so important—you can make a difference right when it’s needed most. The $100,000 goal we must reach by March 31 will give vital wildlife conservation and advocacy programs the resources they need to make a difference in this fight.
Together, we can reach this goal and win the fight for wildlife. Thank you for all that you do to support our work.
