Team,
As you know, the 2020 campaign season is in full swing. My team had a big campaign event scheduled for this Sunday at the Graduate Providence, but because of the coronavirus outbreak, we have decided to change the event into a virtual event online. Yesterday, Governor Raimondo declared a State of Emergency in Rhode Island to help our state respond to the outbreak.
My top priority is the safety and security of Rhode Islanders, which is why out of an abundance of caution I’ve decided to turn the event into a virtual event. Sunday’s event will be the first virtual event that I’ve ever hosted!
If you’d like to join me on Sunday, March 15 with co-chairs US Senator Jack Reed, US Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, and Congressman Jim Langevin RSVP today and we’ll email you a link to join the virtual reception before the 5:00 PM start time on Sunday.
If you have already RSVPed for the event, please do not plan on attending in person. The entire event will now be live-streamed. Please RSVP here to receive the live URL when it becomes available.
I’m excited for you to participate in my first virtual event on Sunday at 5:00 PM. I think it will still be a great event as we prepare for the 2020 election. As you know, there’s so much at stake in this next election and your strong support will make sure we are successful in November. I look forward to working with you over the next eight months to protect the Democratic majority in the House and to win back the Senate and the White House.
Thank you for your support, and I hope you’ll tune in on Sunday!
-- David
