Hey John,

When I was a kid, my mom would roll out pastie dough, and we’d chop onions, carrots, rutabaga, potatoes, and beef, and we’d make 30 or 40 pasties at a time (some for dinner and some for the freezer). And then, Mom would make gravy for us kids while my dad hoarded the ketchup bottle. As an adult — I go 50/50 (half gravy/half ketchup). Childhood memories with gravy — ketchup for the refined palate.

Regardless, the age old debate looms: does your family eat their pasties with ketchup or gravy?

(I recognize that there might be a sadist out there that eats them plain - maybe consider how much better your pastie would be with either.)

It’s time to settle this age-old debate once and for all. John how do you eat your pasties?
