I wanted to make sure you saw that the NYT wrote about my legislation to protect kids online.

These bills will limit the use of predatory algorithms only to children under 18 years old and protect their privacy online so that they can’t be targeted with damaging ads. We know that youth spending more than three hours a day on social media are twice as likely to experience depression and anxiety and that prolonged use of social media negatively impacts body image and sleep patterns amongst young people. And earlier this year, the U.S. Surgeon General issued an advisory that social media is not sufficiently safe for children and adolescents. 

The time is now to do something about it. But I need your help.
