Salaam,

As the violence in Gaza continues, with a mounting death toll of over 11,000 Palestinian citizens, including over 4,000 children, we continue our work to advocate for an immediate ceasefire, for the delivery of humanitarian aid, and for a long-term solution -- one that must address the occupation.

The harassment, doxxing, and violence against pro-Palestinian student advocates also remain significant concerns. This week, in coordination with Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim groups and leaders, we met with the U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, to discuss this concern. We specifically asked for tangible steps to address this problem.

In the last several weeks, Emgage Action Florida collected letters to be sent to Congress in support of the Ceasefire Now Resolution while at a Zakat Foundation dinner for Palestine humanitarian aid efforts in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Our Emgage Action New York Metro team launched a call to action in support of Linda Tigani, Chair and Executive Director of the NYC Commission on Racial Equity, who has been unfairly attacked in the media for her support of the Palestinian people.

We remain committed to advocating for the rights of the Palestinian people and fighting against Islamophobia and discrimination at home and abroad. We will continue to share updates with you as our important work continues.

Sincerely,

Wa'el Alzayat
