Axios reports today that Joe Biden wants to put executives from JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America in charge of the Treasury Department. These people’s greed triggered the financial crisis of 2008. Black families lost more than half of their wealth during that crisis and still have not recovered.
Biden also wants to put Mike Bloomberg—the billionaire mayor responsible for racist policies like “stop and frisk”—in charge of the World Bank.
The Democratic Party cannot be the party of the multiracial working class AND the party of the big banks and racist billionaires at the same time. We have to choose.
