Last week, voters across the country proved once again: when access to safe abortion is on the line, we show up and make our voices heard.

The wide gap between our values and the GOP House majority’s agenda is strikingly clear. They’ve been on an all-out mission to destroy reproductive rights nationwide, and electing anti-abortion extremist Mike Johnson as Speaker was their latest ploy.

At a Judiciary Committee hearing earlier this year, Johnson said that banning abortion would help shore up Medicare and Social Security by funneling more “able-bodied workers into the economy.” He also cosponsored a bill to defund Planned Parenthood, and he championed Louisiana’s abortion bill which allows doctors to be jailed for performing abortions.

Extremist Republicans like Johnson are out of touch. But we know they’ll stop at nothing to pass a federal abortion ban if they expand their control in Congress next year. Pitch in $10 to help me fight back and secure a pro-choice House majority.
