John,

North Carolina is a battleground state for voting rights. What happens on the ground here has the potential to impact elections across the country.

This year, Republicans in North Carolina voted to overturn the Governor’s veto on key bills addressing elections and voting.

* SB 747 undermines the right to vote by limiting the voter registration window in elections

* SB 749 strikes down the Governor’s ability to appoint members to the state board of elections

We can’t let Republicans continue their assault on voting rights.

With the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Act in committee, Valerie is making headway in protecting our sacred right to vote. That means Republicans in our state will be keeping a close eye on our district. It is critical we keep up our fundraising momentum to ensure Valerie keeps making progress on the issues that matter most. Can she count on your support with a $10 contribution today? We only need [45] contributions to put us on track to meet our monthly goal!
