Happy Veterans Day, john,

For the over 500,000 Veterans in Washington, including 43,000 Veterans in our district, Veterans Day is a reminder of the incredible sacrifices they made to keep us safe and protect our country.

The challenges our Veterans face don't just end when their service does – they often remain. It's crucial that we not only support them while they're in the armed forces but also continue that support when they return home.

That's why we need to keep fighting for our Veterans to have access to medical and mental health treatment. At the same time, we must continue to work to make housing and education affordable for returning Veterans.

In Congress, I was proud to help pass the largest expansion of Veterans' health care in decades, the Honoring Our PACT Act, which expanded care to 3.5 million Veterans exposed to toxins and made it easier for tomorrow's Veterans to get the care they deserve. I'll keep working to ensure our servicemen and women, Vets, and their families have access to the services and support they need.

From the bottom of my heart to all our Veterans in Washington and across the country, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your willingness to stand up for our democracy.

Happy Veterans Day.

Thank you,

Kim
