Friend, the state of EMS funding in Pennsylvania is leaving our first-responders overworked and underpaid — especially here in Allegheny County.

Because some EMS providers in Allegheny County have mutual aid agreements with other counties, our district’s EMTs and paramedics are now having to cover larger, out-of-district areas while facing dwindling personnel numbers.

This lack of sustainable statewide EMS funding is creating a devastating ripple effect: Districts that’ve had to shutter EMS providers still need to access these emergency services, which means districts like ours have to spread our personnel thin to ensure Western Pennsylvanians still have emergency health care access.

Friend, there’s a clear and necessary path to bolster EMS funding through our Senate budget, and that’s exactly what Lindsey is fighting to accomplish. Please make a contribution of any amount so we can fight to fund our EMS providers and protect health care access for Pennsylvanians.

Emergency medical events don’t care about district maps. If this lack of funding continues to go unaddressed, Pennsylvanians across the state will be faced with limited access to help should they need critical medical attention.

Help Lindsey bring this issue to the top of the Senate so we can ensure every district has access to the emergency medical services they need.
