Honoring our Veterans

Thank you to my staffer, General Harold Cross, for presenting a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol to Ms. Imogene Measells of Pearl. The flag was presented in honor of her late husband. Mr. DT Measells was a P-38 Lightning pilot who flew over 50 combat missions in the South Pacific. I’m thankful for the example Mr. Measells set for future generations.

Saturday, November 11 is Veterans Day. I am proud to lead the resolution once again in the U.S. House of Representatives honoring the service and sacrifice of America’s veterans on Veterans Day, 2023. Please join me in honoring our nation’s heroes this Saturday and every day.

Celebrating Awarding Winning Mississippians

General Harold Cross recently awarded the National Legion of Valor to Northwest Rankin High School ROTC senior Katelyn Hulsey on my behalf.  Katelyn is one of only 26 ROTC cadets nationwide to receive this prestigious award out of 1,900 nominees. She plans to attend the University of Mississippi with athletic and academic scholarships.
