,

Yesterday, Virginians went to the polls to determine the direction of the Commonwealth for the next two years. Would we elect book banners to school boards, or dedicated public servants committed to making Virginia schools the best in the nation? Would we continue to be the last state in the South to protect a woman's right to choose, or join the rest of our region in telling women what they can do with their bodies? Would we give Glenn Youngkin a Republican House and Senate to turn back all of the progress we made from 2017-2021 on voting rights, gun safety, and workers rights?

Now that the dust has settled and almost all of the votes are counted, I'm proud to have helped expand our brick wall in Richmond and deliver Democratic majorities in the House and Senate. Together, we raised money, wrote post cards, knocked doors and made phone calls to get Democrats out to vote. The result was majorities in Richmond, a second Democratic sweep of the Fairfax County School Board, and Democratic control of Boards of Supervisors in swing counties from Northern Virginia to the Richmond suburbs.

Our new majorities will be the most progressive in Virginia's history and reflect the diversity of our great Commonwealth. I can't wait to work with new and old members in state and local government.

But in Virginia, when we close the book on one election, we open the book on the next one. We are now just one year out from re-elections for myself, Tim Kaine, and Joe Biden.

We have to keep this momentum going with early investments in field to make sure Virginia stays blue in 2024.

Can you help us keep the house by chipping in today
