According to ABC News, over 35,000 people have died this year due to gun violence.

John,

Let's cut to the chase, John. Our nation's recurring gun violence is a heart-wrenching crisis, with innocent lives needlessly lost every day. It's a problem that demands action not just thoughts and prayers.

Over 35,000 people have died from gun violence this year. Among them are 1,157 teens and 246 children. As a mother of two, I can't even fathom such a devastating loss. No parent should have to bury their child.

Now, I won't beat around the bush. Can you spare $10 or whatever you can?

Dealing with gun safety and violence prevention isn't an easy problem to fix, but it’s a necessary one. It's about finding common ground to keep firearms out of the hands of people who are a danger to themselves and others (while respecting the right of responsible gun-owners). John, this should not be a partisan issue.

I won't back down from fighting to keep our communities safe and that means addressing the epidemic of gun violence in this country.

So, John, will you donate $10 today to help us bridge the fundraising gap for November in advance?
