Dear John,

The House was supposed to be in Recess this week, but with our new Speaker
and a tight timeline, we were hard at work in DC. Here are a few updates to
keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values.

Speaker Johnson and our conference stand behind aid for Israel, but we are
well aware that we don’t have the money to send them. That’s why I salute his
efforts to support our strongest ally in the Middle East with a pay-for
solution: take the $14 billion of proposed aid from the IRS spending on
harassing middle- and lower-income taxpayers through increased enforcement.
We're already drowning in trillions of dollars in debt, so it's only logical to
cut in one area if you want to spend in another. If you ask everyday Americans
whether they'd rather beef up the IRS or support our ally Israel, I'm pretty
sure the answer is crystal clear. It's time for Democrats and President Biden
to wake up to this reality.

Speaker Mike Johnson's push for a bipartisan debt commission is a step in the
right direction. Over 90% of Americans, regardless of their political beliefs,
are worried about our mounting debt, and they want to see something done to
bring our fiscal house in order. Speaker Johnson's proposal shows Republicans
are taking the national debt seriously, working toward concrete action to
tackle this problem, and inviting the Democrats to join us in making this
mission a priority.

Last week, I joined a letter led by my friend, Congressman Brad Finstad,
calling for swift passage of a strong Farm Bill. I have heard your concerns
about getting a Farm Bill passed that puts our agricultural producers and rural
communities first. This legislation, crafted by those who know it
best—America’s farmers—will help manage risk, ensure the next generation takes
over our farms, and keep the production of top-quality, affordable food, fuel,
fiber, and forestry products going strong.

As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with.
Thank you for your continued support!

With gratitude,
