You probably remember George Santos, the guy who lied about basically everything to become a member of Congress. I know it’s hard to believe, but he is still walking the halls of Congress. I have to see him every time I vote. He’s now indicted on multiple charges including conspiracy and fraud.

This week, a vote came to the Floor on whether to remove George Santos from Congress. It was actually led by some of his fellow Republicans in New York. And I was happy to vote a resounding YES to kick him out.

I don’t believe you can be this corrupt and continue to serve as a member of Congress. Unfortunately, the vote actually lost so George Santos is still in office. I want to hear from you:

In a few weeks the Ethics Committee will be releasing its report on Santos, so it’s possible we’ll have another vote on this coming up. Until then, he’ll remain one of my colleagues. Embarrassing.
