Protect Your Right to Fight for Wildlife.

Bobcat

John,

The Trump Administration just announced a policy proposal that would threaten wildlife in all 50 states.

The proposal would shred a landmark environmental law that has helped everyday Americans speak up and save habitat for bobcats and countless wildlife species across the country for 50 years. By stifling public input and sound scientific review for destructive projects, the White House is silencing your voice and putting people and wildlife in danger.

Protect wildlife—and your voice—and demand the Trump Administration withdraw this reckless proposal.

Bobcats can be found across most of the U.S., from northern snowy forests to southern swamps and western deserts. But with habitat loss as a key threat to their well-being, these cats depend on wildlife advocates like you, John, to speak out against destructive pipelines, fossil fuel extraction, and other large projects that pollute nearby air and water and destroy habitat.

For half a century, the National Environmental Policy Act has given Americans the opportunity to have a say in projects that would impact their communities and wildlife. Don’t let the Trump Administration take away your voice.

And it’s not just your voice that will be silenced. Wildlife biologists and public health experts—who know intimately the impact of degraded land and pollution on wildlife and public health—would have no opportunity to provide input into many types of projects and would have far less information on the projects they still can review. By stifling their input, the Trump proposal imperils wildlife and communities alike.

Let’s be clear: the Trump Administration is siding with fossil fuel companies and ignoring everyday Americans to the detriment of future generations. If destructive projects are allowed to bypass scientifically-sound review, billions of dollars of taxpayer money could be spent on projects that destroy the very habitat that wildlife need to thrive in the face of climate change. Many of these same projects could be rendered useless just years later because they did not account for stronger storms, higher seas, and increased flood risks caused by climate change. John, join with thousands of wildlife advocates today to say NO to this disastrous proposal and YES to a safer future for wildlife and your community.

This White House proposal is bad for people and bad for wildlife—and we need your help to stop it today.

Thank you for joining us in this fight for wildlife.
