Roads Minister visits Galley Hill Landslip site

Galley Hill Road has been shut since part of the carriageway, pavement and chalk cliff, collapsed last Easter, causing major disruption for local residents. Kent County Council and Thames Water have been trying to establish who is liable and I invited the Roads Minister to come and see the collapse for himself as we can't have years of wrangling getting in the way of rebuilding.

New Dart Charge provider
As mentioned in my last bulletin, National Highways changed over to a new Dart Charge provider in the summer. They had two years to prepare for this and yet it is still a shambles, two and a half months on from the transfer.

It was a pleasure to join the British Gurkha Nepalese Community in Dartford for their annual cultural event at the Glentworth Club in Dartford.

Debate on International Rail Services in Kent

I took part in a debate in Parliament on International Rail Services in Kent. International services previously stopped at Ashford and Ebbsfleet but were withdrawn during the pandemic and have not yet been reinstated by Eurostar.

Having visited Dartford's British Gas Academy a few years ago, I was pleased to pay a return visit and meet apprentices training to be part of the team.
