We Have A Speaker!

Dear John,

After a long and painful process, we have a new Speaker of the House. Three weeks, fourteen candidate, and four nominations later Mike Johnson (R-LA) was unanimously voted into the position.

While I didn't know him previously, I like what I have seen since he has taken the gavel. Mike Johnson is a constitutional lawyer with a strong faith in God. He does not mince words and is not afraid to call out the corruption in this White House. Already, he has taken steps to pare back the excessive spending of the Left and begun to get things done.

The fact that he was voted into the position without any opposition from the Republicans shows that our party can align and work together. Much remains to be seen but indications are that he has the ability to unify the party. Republicans working together is a powerful force - and is exactly what the Democrats fear.

Of course, Sean Casten has made statements against Mike Johnson, calling him an extremist. Typical. That is all he has - there is nothing more he can say that is bad about Mike Johnson. Mike works with the interests of the American people at the forefront of his decisions, which is a refreshing change from the last 3 years.

Now more than ever it is important to strengthen the Republican presence in Congress, so that we can continue to work for what is best for Americans. Help me get to Congress and push policies that are pro-American and will improve our living standards.
