Dear ,

Kendall's newest op-ed was just published in the New York Post over the weekend. It is a critical open letter to progressives about how the far-left is hurting Israel and the rest of the nation. Read it in its entirety below!

** How the quest for progressivism is hurting Israel most
------------------------------------------------------------

Your intentions were noble. You wanted to make the country and the world a better place. You wanted to be more enlightened than your narrow-minded parents. From your perspective — influenced by teachers and professors — your parents and grandparents are the reason we live in a systemically racist, oppressive country. They are impervious to progress. Your generation was no longer going to tolerate “toxic masculinity.” You were going to fundamentally change America. So you decided to consciously align with the informed, the righteous, and the highly intellectual. You wanted to be a Progressive.

You eagerly voted for the first black president and were an obstinate supporter of Black Lives Matters (BLM). You were a media-convinced believer that white cops are racist, overly abusive, and randomly shoot unarmed black men.
By confidently supporting BLM, putting racist cops on notice, and checking your white privilege so that blacks would have more opportunity, less black men would be arrested, and crime would go down. You believed via black president, a BLM-wooed populous, and racist cops kept in check, your generation would usher in a post-racial America. You would solve problems faster than any previous generation. You would not be burdened by bigotry or restrictive religious beliefs untethered to scientific evidence, and an oppressive patriarchy.

But something went wrong. What you expected and what was delivered didn’t match up.

For at least the past 10 years or more, your expectations haven’t aligned with the pollyannaish assumptions of you and your enlightened friends. Groups like BLM that should have implemented programs for the greater good have proven to be inept, mismanaging funds and the leaders of the organization embezzled millions of dollars. ([link removed]) Now they have openly supported the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hamas on the day they attacked Israel. Hamas is not just any terrorist group. They are a terrorist group that decapitates infants, sexually assaults women, and takes 80-year-old grandmothers as hostages.

You find yourself needing to re-evaluate your position and assumptions.

You supported the LBQT movement because you believed gay people should have the right to marry like anyone else who loves each other. However, as the group started adding more letters (and numbers) to the movement, you forgot that most folks are uneasy with the idea of biological men competing against women in swimming, cycling, weightlifting and other sports where clearly men will dominate over women. Don’t forget: 66% of Americans don’t agree with you. ([link removed])

These were not the outcomes you expected. How could you be so far off base?

President Obama has been out of office for seven years and despite the receptivity of BLM and DEI in schools, private companies, and the military, crime continues to skyrocket in major cities nationwide. Black leaders seem unable or unwilling to subdue flash mobs of black youth who are shoplifting, carjacking, and brutalizing suburban moms. What’s worse is the performance of black students in public schools still languishes behind every ethnic group. In Baltimore, not one black student was proficient in math in 23 of the city’s public schools. Black students in other major cities are almost as bad.

For the rest of us out there, you may feel reluctant, but it’s time to begin questioning progressive policies. You begin to wonder if the evidence those conversative “white supremacists” presented are true: Progressive policies that transformed the black culture from 80% two-parent families to 80% fatherless homes are the main driver of disparities not only in the criminal justice system but in academic performance and financial achievement as well.

Your perception that leaders on the left are righteous fighters of the progressive cause shattered before your eyes when former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was accused of sexual harassment by a former aide in January 2021. You watched in horror as 11 more women came forward and accused Cuomo of sexual harassment. You learned other freedom-minded feminists passively stood by and watched it happen and said nothing. ([link removed])

Isn’t the women’s movement supposed to help women?

As you reevaluate your beliefs and assumptions, you discover your narrow-minded parents were right about a lot of things. Regardless of race, children perform better academically and have less interaction with the criminal justice system when they are raised by two parents. When it comes to academic opportunities for underprivileged black kids, those intolerant Evangelical Christians and Catholics have been providing alternative solutions to failing public schools in nearly every major city in the country for decades — while progressive city leaders consistently stifle school choice.

The deadliest assault of the Jewish people since Hitler’s Holocaust has awakened the world. And it has unexpectedly awakened you to an infected ideology that you blindly embraced for the greater good. After reexamination, you now realize, progressivism has been the incubator and sanctuary of restricted speech, segregated dorms, underperforming public schools, feminized masculinity and an intolerant cancel culture. The question is, what do you plan to do now?
