Lawmakers questioned Amazon and eBay executives about counterfeit products
Federal legislators are cracking down on the spread of counterfeit products through online sales. Earlier in the week, a group of bipartisan legislators introduced a bill to hold the e-commerce platforms liable for counterfeit products. Yesterday, executives from eBay and Amazon testified before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce.
Target is adding alcohol to same-day store pickups
To help bring more convenience to consumers, Target will begin testing fresh food and alcohol pickup in their Minnesota, Texas and Florida stores. In the past year, Target’s same-day services grew more than 90 percent and accounted for nearly three-quarters of the company’s comparable digital sales growth. They are hoping that adding fresh food items and alcohol to its pickup services will continue to drive sales.
