It was a busy week filled with relief, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values.
Before we get started—today is National First Responders Day. I’d like to share my gratitude to the dedicated firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and all the brave professionals who serve our communities. These selfless individuals, whether they are rushing into burning buildings, patrolling our streets, or providing life-saving medical care, are our heroes. We owe them our thanks.
The House has a Speaker—a conservative Speaker for whom I was proud to cast my vote. I got to know Mike Johnson when I served with him on the Judiciary Committee. He’s a proven conservative who has what it takes to move us forward. While I look forward to getting back to work and defending our values, we have a lot to prove. If our conference returns to the infighting of the last three weeks, we will jeopardize our majority. The American people are watching. Republicans are strongest when we stand together, so I hope we will be united in shredding Joe Biden’s liberal agenda, defending the Constitution, and securing—once and for all—our southern border.
Big news: I'm thrilled to announce my candidacy for the role of Vice Chair of the Republican Conference. With my experience as President of the Minnesota State Senate in a one-seat majority, I understand the importance of strong leadership in challenging times. Republicans must remain united and committed to conservative principles. If elected, I'm dedicated to working alongside Conference Chair Elise Stefanik to support Speaker Johnson and stand strong for my district and the American people. My background in the Minnesota Legislature, my position on key House committees, and my commitment to our shared values make me well-prepared for this role.
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support!
With gratitude,
