Next week, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in June Medical Services LLC v. Russo, a case that the state of Louisiana is using to try to undermine abortion access and shut down clinics that provide abortion care.
The ruling in this case could determine the fate of abortion access across the country, and with an anti-choice majority on the Court, the protections of Roe v. Wade are in danger.
As long as Brett Kavanaugh sits on the Supreme Court, our reproductive freedom and our rights will be under threat. We need federal protections — and we need them now.

The Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) would safeguard abortion access, even if the Supreme Court guts Roe or state governments pass legislation to restrict reproductive freedom.
Passing WHPA would guarantee the right to abortion and defend against the onslaught of abortion bans from state legislatures across the country. We have the chance to show politicians everywhere that 2020 will not be remembered as the year that abortion access was decimated, but the year that we took action to lock the protections of Roe into law and expand abortion access for every American in the country.
