John,
Yesterday, all three of our Republican congressmen joined forces with extremists to elect the new Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson.
Johnson is an anti-choice and election-denying far-right Speaker who will stop at nothing to push his radical agenda.
Kansans deserve better, but 3 of our representatives let us down.
John, this is just the beginning. Their harmful core beliefs and values will continue to infringe on our freedoms until the far right has total control of Kansas. Will you sign our petition to denounce extremism in Kansas? [[link removed]]

Rep. Mike Johnson has some of the most extreme values in Congress. He has publicly:
❌ Denied the 2020 election; He was a leader in the effort to overturn Joe Biden's win and was a key player in the January 6th insurrection.
❌ Demonized abortion; He sponsored and cosponsored several bills denying abortion access and imprisoning healthcare personnel for providing abortions, and he celebrated the Dobbs decision.
❌ Denounced the LGBTQ+ community; As a lawyer, he defended a prominent anti-LGBT hate group and pushed back against LGBTQ+ rights expansion. As a politician, he's led congressional hearings attacking trans youth, opposed bills granting funds to safe, same-sex education, and opposed legislation supporting gay marriage, IN 2022!
Mike Johnson's regressive policies have no home in Kansas.
We need a strong Democratic Coalition that is willing to fight the far right, not bend to its will like our current representatives.
We're lucky to have Rep. Sharice Davids on our team, but we still need you!
John, we cannot allow our congressional representatives to uphold harmful rhetoric like this. Will you sign our petition to let Congressmen Estes, LaTurner, and Mann know that we cannot support the utter ignorance of their Speaker votes? [[link removed]]
