Last night, our country witnessed a deadly tragedy in Lewiston, Maine.

A gunman with an assault-style, military-grade rifle opened fire on a restaurant and bowling alley, slaughtering at least 16 people and wounding dozens more.

Republican elected officials are continuing to prevent life-saving gun safety measures and refuse to take a stand against assault weapons that are plaguing our communities – despite witnessing over 560 mass shootings this year. It has never been more urgent that we kick every despicable lawmaker out of office who sits by and does nothing as our families are murdered in our bowling alleys and our restaurants. So we are urgently asking for 1,852 gifts to help us fully fund our campaign to reinstate the federal assault weapons ban and defeat every coward who refuses to protect our children and families. Our country has witnessed over 560 mass shootings this year:

Yet, Maine has virtually no gun safety laws on the books.

Republicans in Maine this year voted down a bill that would install a waiting period before purchasing a firearm.

And Maine Senators Angus King and Susan Collins refuse to support the federal assault weapons ban.

It’s clear: There will NEVER be enough bloodshed to convince cowardly lawmakers to act on gun safety.

That’s why we need to unseat every pathetic, spineless lawmaker who refuses to take a stand – and we need to do it NOW.

We can’t afford to waste a single second. We have to fund gun safety candidates who are challenging lawmakers who allow our families to be murdered at restaurants, bowling alleys, schools, movie theaters, and everywhere in between. Electing these candidates is key to keeping our families safe. So we need 1,852 gifts before midnight to rush candidates who are dedicated to banning assault weapons and ending gun violence the resources they need to defeat the gun lobby once and for all.
