Today, the Supreme Court hears oral arguments in the first major challenge to abortion rights since President Trump nominated two justices to the Supreme Court.
This is the day we worked so hard to make sure would never come: An anti-choice majority on the Court debating whether women can be trusted to decide what’s best for their own families.

Here’s what you need to know: The case involves Louisiana's clinic shutdown law, which, if allowed to go into effect, would give states a road map for eliminating access to abortion by simply shutting down almost every abortion clinic in the state.
Just four years ago, the Supreme Court ruled that these kinds of clinic shutdown laws were an unconstitutional violation of our rights. If the Supreme Court allows this Louisiana law to stand now, it will be defying precedent and could make the protections of Roe virtually meaningless.
