Virginians will soon cast their ballots in one of the most important elections in the country this year.



Virginia is the ONLY southern state that hasn’t banned abortion since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade — and that will change if Republicans take control of the state legislature on November 7.

Virginia Republicans already control the governorship and the state House. The meager Democratic majority in the Senate is the only stopgap preventing a statewide abortion ban that Governor Youngkin has said he would “gleefully” sign into law.



If Republicans secure a trifecta in the upcoming election, Virginia could become the latest state to ban abortion and embolden extremists across the country as we head into the 2024 elections that will decide whether Republicans gain enough power to pass a nationwide abortion ban.
