John –

This week, House Republicans once again failed to elect a Speaker of the House. I have been outspoken about this process since the outset and you can read more of my thoughts below. With the ongoing war in Israel, I also provided my thoughts about how we can project strength to prevent Iran from engaging further in this war.

As always, if you are able to make a small contribution to my campaign, you can do so at this link:

I greatly appreciate your continued support. Now, here’s your campaign brief:
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SPEAKER’S RACE
Unfortunately, House Republicans once again failed to elect a Speaker of the House. I voted for Jim Jordan three separate times. I publicly backed him for Speaker and made the case for Jim Jordan. But after the third vote, when Jim Jordan continued to lose support, House Republicans voted internally to move forward with a new, yet-to-be-determined Speaker nominee.

I said on Sunday that the “pressure campaign” against Republicans opposed to Jim - especially from online personalities - would backfire and would solidify the opposition to Jordan’s candidacy for Speaker of the House. Well, that’s exactly what happened.

The families of Republicans voting against Jim Jordan were even receiving death threats, which is completely unacceptable and disgusting.

Again, I voted for Jim Jordan multiple times and wanted him to become Speaker. But those who called themselves Jordan’s “allies” disrupted his campaign every step of the way and now we need to move forward with a different candidate.

It’s time for Republicans to come together and elect a new Speaker so we can get back to work for the American people. I am hoping that we will get this over with next week and return to our important work of legislating and addressing the challenges facing our country.
WHY STRENGTH IS NEEDED TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF WAR
There needs to be very clear consequences laid out for Iran and Hezbollah if they engage further in the war in Israel. America needs to project strength in order to prevent the spread of war.

If you want to prevent war, you have to be able to threaten it - and threaten it credibly. And that takes statements that make people uncomfortable. President Trump actually did this all the time. President Trump had an intuition for what deterrence actually was (remember, he threatened to bomb Moscow if Putin invaded Ukraine).

President Biden whispering, 'don't do it, don't do it,' into the microphone during his speech is not as effective as he thinks it is. There needs to be clear statements.

Iran and Hezbollah are actively in the decision making process about whether they will open up a multi-front war against Israel. That decision will be dependent on what they think will happen to them in return. If you want to prevent war, you have to make it very clear that you're willing to beat the crap out of your enemies if they try something.
My custom eyepatch is back in stock - with options for left or right eye. This makes for a great Halloween costume, but they’re also perfect for anyone who legitimately needs to wear one. Durable, strong, and comfortable. It’s the same eyepatch I wear everyday.
