We are postponing tomorrow’s report back from the Berta Cáceres International Feminist Organizing School (IFOS) to focus attention on the global call for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid in Gaza. We will share a new date for the report back when it is scheduled.

Over the past two weeks, the brutal, 75-year-long military occupation of the Palestinian people rapidly escalated with ruthless, obliterating attacks. Countless homes, schools, and mosques are destroyed, with millions of people cut off from food, water, and electricity. We weep and rage at the genocide in Gaza, made possible by the U.S. government, Israel’s biggest source of diplomatic and military support.

In partnership with member organization Arab Resource & Organizing Center (AROC), GGJ is bringing a rapid response delegation to the Ceasefire Mass Mobilization on Friday, October 20 in Washington, D.C. We will march to demand a de-escalation of violence, calling on Biden and Congress to push for an immediate ceasefire and facilitate the entrance of humanitarian assistance to Gaza.

It is critical at this moment to bring attention to the U.S. government’s role in funding apartheid.

Estamos posponiendo el informe de este viernes de la Escuela Internacional Feminista de Organización Berta Cáceres (IFOS) para centrar la atención en el llamado mundial para un alto el fuego y la ayuda humanitaria en Gaza. Compartiremos una nueva fecha para el informe cuando esté programado.

Durante las dos últimas semanas, la brutal ocupación militar del pueblo palestino, que ha durado ya 75 años, se ha intensificado rápidamente con ataques despiadados y demoledores. Innumerables casas, escuelas y mezquitas han sido destruidas, y millones de personas se han quedado sin alimentos, agua y electricidad. Lloramos y nos enfurecemos ante el genocidio de Gaza, posibilitado por el gobierno de Estados Unidos, la mayor fuente de apoyo diplomático y militar de Israel.

En colaboración con la organización miembro Arab Resource & Organizing Center (AROC), GGJ llevará una delegación de respuesta rápida a la movilización masiva por el alto el fuego que tendrá lugar el viernes 20 de octubre en Washington D.C. Marcharemos para exigir una desescalada de la violencia, pidiendo a Biden y al Congreso que impulsen un alto a las hostilidades inmediato y faciliten la entrada de ayuda humanitaria en Gaza.

En este momento es fundamental llamar la atención sobre el papel del gobierno estadounidense en la financiación del apartheid.
