This weekend, Minnesota’s Star Tribune published a fantastic editorial sounding the alarm about a new plan from Franconia Minerals to conduct exploratory drilling in the watershed of the Boundary Waters. The editorial calls on the state of Minnesota to act now to protect the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness from the ongoing threat of copper-nickel mining proposals.
