John,
Today, I joined my Dem colleagues in voting for Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker of the House.
Democrats remain united and ready to work to lower costs for working families and make our communities safer.
Republicans in the House, however, followed up yesterday’s dysfunction with more dysfunction. Jim Jordan failed to clinch the House Speakership after a second vote. Though keeping an extremist like Jim Jordan from the Speakership is a victory for democracy, we must not lose sight of the message: Republicans are not fit to govern.
GOP dysfunction gets in the way of our progress. We must get them out of office.
Can I count on your support with a $10 contribution today to fight against Republican dysfunction and take back the House? We need to raise $2,500 today to stay on track for our October goal.

Let’s get back to work.
Valerie
