NEW | WILL Stands Ready to Defend WI’s School Choice Programs

WILL stands ready to defend Wisconsin’s Choice Program in court, representing parents, students, teachers, and choice schools across Wisconsin.

We are preparing to file a motion to intervene in the case recently filed by the Minocqua Brewing Super PAC challenging Wisconsin’s choice program.

🗯 WILL President and General Counsel, Rick Esenberg, released the following statement,

“Wisconsin’s choice program serves over 52,000 students and plays a vital role in Wisconsin’s education system. Unfortunately, Far-left interest groups are uniting behind a Super PAC, to take education options away from low- and middle-income kids and families across the state.

If successful, their efforts would destroy a popular program that serves thousands of Wisconsin families. The arguments that it makes would call into question Wisconsin’s entire education system, throwing us all into chaos. Their 'facts' in their complaint are incomplete, misleading, misinformed, and their legal arguments border on nonsense. WILL stands ready to oppose their efforts and mount a staunch defense of the program in court.”

NEW TODAY | WILL Files Brief in Redistricting Case

WILL promises to protect voters of Wisconsin who have duly elected their representatives.

The lawsuit was originally brought by several Left-leaning attorneys, who seek to overturn Wisconsin's Legislative Districts and are trying to relitigate issues resolved just a year and a half ago. Last week we filed a motion to intervene in this lawsuit, and the court granted our request.

Overturning the current maps would be unprecedented, and would deny voters their rightful representation. WILL’s intervention will allow voters of Wisconsin to defend their interests in this important case.

VICTORY | Town of Hayward Complies with the Law Following WILL Lawsuit

The town of Hayward has finally agreed to hold a publicly noticed “special town meeting” that was rightfully and legally requested by residents of the town.

The town changed course once a lawsuit was filed by us a few weeks ago.

🗯 WILL Associate Counsel, Skylar Croy, stated, “Residents deserve to be heard and no town, municipality, or government entity is above the law. We are pleased to hear the town of Hayward has agreed to honor a ‘special meeting’ following our client’s newly filed petition."

🗯 WILL Client, Brenda Dettloff, added, "When people unite as one voice, together we can move mountains. This is a rare opportunity for the citizens from the North to be heard. The citizens are so grateful that WILL is walking by our side every step of the way and has ensured our right to call a special meeting of the People.”
