Jim Jordan is a problem.

John,

I want to talk about Jim Jordan, but first –

The team tells me we are still $12,900 away from hitting our October fundraising goal, and we only have TWO WEEKS left. If you can help, any amount is appreciated: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/davidroth

I wrote last week about an issue with Republican lawmakers – and there are many

But specifically, I called out their willingness to cover up or ignore each other’s scandals and corruption, like they did for Matt Gaetz and Madison Cawthorn.

Where Gaetz has his abuse-related scandals and Cawthorn has his participation in January 6, Jim Jordan has both.

Now Republicans want him to take McCarthy’s place as House Speaker.

Jim Jordan was in on numerous meetings with Donald Trump and Republican officials about overturning the 2020 election. On January 2, 2021, Jordan directed a conference call to talk about delaying the certification of the electoral college results.

And on January 6, Jordan was on the phone with Trump throughout the attack on our Capitol. Afterwards, he asked the White House about Presidential pardons for members of Congress.

No one would even remember his name if Congress had expelled Jim Jordan after a handful of former Ohio State athletes accused him of ignoring their pleas for help while their coach sexually abused them.

Republicans in Congress only act when it benefits them politically, and now they’re showing their hand by acting to elect one of Trump’s top coup plotters to the Speaker of the House.

When Congress votes to certify the 2024 presidential election results, there will be a new class of lawmakers. I plan to be among them so I can show Idaho what real representation looks like. Chip in below.

Every one of us must do what we can to give Dems the House majority next year. In Idaho’s 2nd, that means bringing Mike Simpson home.

We have so much work to do for our state and our country, John. Thank you so much for your support.

For a better future,

David Roth

David Roth is a single, gay dad running for Idaho’s Second Congressional District. We’re going up against a GOP incumbent who has been in this seat for almost 25 years. It’s time for change in Idaho, and our grassroots campaign is building on the momentum that began in David’s race for U.S. Senate last cycle. The GOP is not planning to defend this seat, so we plan to take it from them and help Democrats retake the House majority next year. We’d love your support to build a solid campaign to bring progress to Idaho and the country.
