Here’s what you need to know about voter registration and the upcoming election:
1. Ohio Republicans are willing to go as far as they can to limit abortion access. When Roe v. Wade was overturned, they rushed to federal court to implement a six-week abortion ban, with no exceptions for rape or incest. Reproductive rights are on the ballot next month.
2. BUT thanks to our corrupt GOP, no new voters can register to vote in the 30 days leading up to the election – hindering our efforts to mobilize voters during the days they’re paying the most attention. That means today is our last opportunity to get Ohioans registered.
3. Democrats aren’t the only ones gearing up for this election, Republicans are too. But they’re doing it by abusing their power and practicing unethical strategies, like kicking voters off the active voter roll and changing the ballot language to try to trick voters. They’re assaulting the fundamental principles of our democracy.
