Democrats,
Today on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the Democratic Party of New Mexico invites everyone to take a moment to honor the profound significance and impact of Native Americans on New Mexico’s rich history, culture, and communities. New Mexico owes its history and culture to the twenty-three sovereign Native tribes and nations and their ancestors who made New Mexico home before anyone else.
On this day, we reiterate our commitment to working with all indigenous communities to address systemic challenges and move forward together for an inclusive and equitable New Mexico.
Thank you for joining us in honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
