This historical move brings the total approved student loan forgiveness to an astounding $127 billion, providing much-needed relief to almost 3.6 million hard working Americans.
But it’s not just nationally that Democrats are making strides– just a few years ago New Mexico Democrats helped make college tuition-free through the New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship Act. These bold initiatives prove that Democrats at every level of government are dedicated to providing equitable access to education, without crippling debt hindering them from being productive citizens.
Democrats are committed to working for the people, not the wealthy elites. We believe that a future where everyone has access to life-changing opportunities is key to ensuring all have the chance to thrive. Our work, however, is far from finished and we urgently need your help.
