Friend,

Back in 2014, well before my start in politics, I worked with the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers and stood with them to fight for a quality education for every child.

Nearly a decade later, and teachers unions across the state are still fighting the same battle — and I’m still with them every step of the way.

Our teachers unions are unanimously opposed to Republicans’ school voucher programs, and I’m taking their fight to Harrisburg. Will you make a contribution of any amount so we can amplify our call to block these measures to privatize Pennsylvania’s public education?

Our educators are teaching in old buildings, which have been found to pose health risks both to students and their teachers. They’re facing mounting classroom sizes while receiving no additional funding.

And instead of giving our educators the support they need, Republicans are manufacturing mistrust in our public schools. They’re putting a target on the backs of our teachers and their unions all in the name of a privatized education system, and it has to stop.

Friend, our public school teachers need our help, and privatization isn’t the way to do it. Chip in today so we can block these bans and deliver the critical funding our educators and their unions need to make sure our public school students thrive.

When I was illegally terminated from the National Whistleblowers Center for organizing a staff union, I made a promise to myself and my community that I would always fight to protect our workers and their livelihoods.

And friend, I won’t stop fighting until our public schools receive the funding they’re due under our State Constitution.
