One week until HHOMA 2023 Minority Business Expo in Charleston

Speakers, breakout sessions have been announced, and deadline to register is October 9
|

CHARLESTON, WV — The Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs (HHOMA) is bringing a networking event to professionals around the region at the ninth annual Minority Business Expo at the Charleston Civic Center on Thursday, Oct. 12.
Attendees and exhibitors must register online here by the close of business on Oct. 9. Attendance is free, and lunch will be provided. HHOMA has waived registration fees on exhibit booth space for vendors, state agencies, and nonprofits.

This annual event brings together minorities, women business owners, and veterans to promote growth and innovation in the Mountain State.
This year’s agenda includes the following speakers:
- Nevaeh Harmon - Miss West Virginia USA 2023
- Chris Alder - Deputy Secretary of State/General Counsel to the Secretary of State
- Kerry Ann Wilkerson - Business Owner/Entrepreneur
This year’s agenda includes the following breakout sessions:
- Breakout Session 1: Why is Obtaining Funding So Difficult?
- Breakout Session 2: Do I Need a Minority-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned or Other Certifications?
The expo operates from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, 200 Civic Center Dr, Charleston, WV 25301.
