[link removed] [[link removed]]Friends – I wanted to send a quick note giving you an update on what’s been going on in Congress.
First: We narrowly avoided a government shutdown by passing a measure that extends government funding until November 18th. We’re by no means in the clear. We still have to pass a fair budget that continues providing essential services to American families.
Next: As you’ve probably heard by now, the Office of the Speaker of the House is vacant. Republicans and Democrats worked together to oust Kevin McCarthy from the role, and in the coming days, we’ll be working to restore leadership in the halls of Congress.
Now: I’ll be keeping up the fight for NC-13 in Congress. But to really get things done, we must flip the House next November. And to flip the House, we must hold on to every single BLUE seat we have, including mine.
Can you chip in to my campaign today to help me win re-election and hold this seat? [[link removed]]
Stay tuned for more updates from DC.
Be well,
Wiley Nickel
