Support Jennie Lou for U.S. Congress Are you ready to win, John? This Tuesday, we must select a Democratic candidate for #TX21 who understands our district. That’s why I’m voting for Jennie Lou Leeder! Jennie Lou was raised in rural Texas, where her parents were teachers for over 25 years. Following in their footsteps, Jennie Lou also taught for 11 years in both rural and urban settings. Jennie Lou believes that education is the foundation that our lives are built on. We must protect our schools and our children’s futures! But right now Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and her Department are hatching a scheme to deny critical funding to over 800 poor rural schools because of a complaint over the reporting metrics that schools have been using for years. While DeVos knows full well she could ease this issue by working with schools and Congress to amend the reporting rules, her Department prefers to take aim at schoolchildren in our most underfunded schools. Shame on her! In 2020, we must elect a representative for #TX21 who knows and understands the district, and who can fight back against policies like these that undermine our communities and educations systems. There is only one candidate in this race who has deep roots in this district, and that candidate is Jennie Lou Leeder. As a teacher and coach for 11 years in rural and urban districts, and as a strong Texas woman whose family ties that go back over 150 years to Texas 21, Jennie Lou Leeder is the right choice for TX21. This Tuesday, March 3, vote for Jennie Lou Leeder, a #TrueBlueTexan! #ElectALeederToTheHouse #Leeder2020 Donate now to help Jennie Lou be a voice for all voters in Tx21. Thank you!
