At the end of this email, I’m going to ask you for a $3 donation ahead of tonight’s quarterly FEC fundraising deadline. I hope you’ll read the entire message so I can explain what this deadline represents, and why your early support is crucial.

As you may know, every three months all federal campaigns must submit a fundraising report – one that goes public – which will show how much they’ve raised. And political pundits, some undecided voters, and especially our opponents will be poring over these numbers to assess our ability to win.

Like it or not, it’s going to set the tone for the race.

As someone who’s rejected any corporate cash, every donor to my campaign matters, and I need your continued support more than ever to build our winning campaign.
