Team Roth here with a short update as we head into October. 

 

As we write this, the future of hundreds of thousands of government jobs are in limbo. Either Congress agrees to a 45-day continuing resolution TODAY, or the government shutdown hits at midnight. 

 

A shutdown would mean infants whose parents can’t rely on WIC benefits for formula, federal employees and military members working without pay or not working at all, and Americans cut off from social security and Medicaid.

 

This dysfunction is the work of a small group of Republicans and enthusiastic observers like our current representative from ID-02, Mike Simpson.

 

Keeping Mike in Congress the past two decades was a mistake we have to correct in 2024, and that’s exactly what the Roth campaign has set out to do.

 

Our third-quarter FEC deadline hits TONIGHT at midnight, and we’re still $1,324 away from our fundraising goal. Can you pitch in $10, $50, or $100 right now so we can stay ahead of the game going into 2024?

Across the country, Democrats like David are running to unseat profit-driven Republicans who are responsible for this mess and many others, such as the ongoing blockade on military promotions and the failure to protect access to reproductive healthcare. 

 

If we flip ID-02 and they flip their districts, Democrats will have the numbers to stop the GOP from ongoing and future attacks on our government and safety.

 

Let’s fix the mistake of electing Mike Simpson so Congress can finally fix the mess Republicans have been making since 2016.
