When the time came to decide who to support in CA-30, it was an easy decision.
Laura Friedman is a force for good, and someone we need representing us in Congress.
Having worked alongside her in our communities for many years, I know Laura cares deeply about the future of our district, and she is the most committed candidate to meet the challenges we face in the days and years ahead:
- Laura has been a partner in my work to make Los Angeles and the surrounding area become safer, healthier, and more equitable.
- She has proven time and again that she stands with the workers of our district, to ensure they are paid enough to live here and care for their families.
- And in her time as mayor and in the legislature, Laura has prioritized safer drinking water, cleaner air to breathe, and safe and efficient transit - basic needs everyone deserves, and issues where Glendale and California have led the nation.
- She’s also the candidate endorsed by EMILY’s List in this race, because she’s a proven fighter for our reproductive rights. A woman has never represented this district in Congress. We have the power to change that.
There’s simply no other candidate in this race with the same track record of big legislative victories that address every unique community within our region. And we need her representing us in Congress.
