Let me get right to it, John: You probably know by now that every three months, our campaign is required to publicly report how much we’ve been able to raise to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Once our numbers go public, our opponents will use them to size us up and make judgments about where we stand – and strategize about how best to beat us. There’s an extra challenge for us, because unlike many campaigns we’re facing, we won’t take corporate PAC cash. We are counting on support from individual donors to power our efforts.
I’m so proud of the grassroots campaign we’re running. It absolutely makes it harder to run a strong campaign without special interest money, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Our campaign is powered by and for the people, and I’m going to bring that same people-driven energy to Congress. Laura
