Hi John,
I never thought I’d be able to share a (metaphoric) stage with Taylor Swift, but the world is a weird place.
Here's what happened: It was supposed to be a big week for our campaign because it was National Voter Registration Day. Our team hoped to register 100 new voters. Then something wild happened...

Taylor Swift posted on her Instagram about National Voter Registration Day and 13,000 new voters were registered… every 30 minutes! Needless to say, we blew through our 100 new voters goal. It was wild.
Before I tell you why this is so important for our race, I hope you’ll chip in $25 to support our work.
So here’s why this is such a big deal: 8 million young people will be eligible to vote in 2024. This new generation of voters is vital in a toss-up district like mine. If we engage with these young people early, they will be involved in the democratic process. If we ignore them, we risk losing them into the ether of “why vote, it doesn’t matter.” I refuse to let that happen.
We know that our path to victory in the Central Valley is through strong voter turnout. Democrats win when people are registered to vote. We lose when people become disengaged and disheartened.
That’s why I’ve directed my team to focus on registering young voters (including young voters of color!) who are too often disenfranchised from politics. We’re showing up to people's doors, college campuses, coffee shops, you name it, with clipboards and registration forms. We know that when we engage young people on issues like climate change or reproductive rights, they realize how important it is to vote.
But we need your help (and I guess Taylor Swift’s…) to make it happen.
We have 12 weeks before ballots go out in our first election against our GOP opponent. Will you please donate as much as you can to help us register more voters before the deadline?
