BYD works to empower young people across Brooklyn so they can be active participants in our democracy and advocate for the things their communities care about most.

That's why we're so excited for our event tonight!

Join BYD's new AAPI Caucus tonight at 6:30pm for a young professionals mixer at Fort Hamilton Distillery!

We'll connect, enjoy drinks and discuss ways to uplift young AAPI voices in Brooklyn. We'll also discuss how we can ensure that AAPI communities are civically engaged, and what we can do to provide a pipeline for young AAPI folks to get active and run for office. Plus, we'll be joined by Council Member Shahana Hanif!

BYD endorsed Council Member Justin Brannan in his run for Council District 47 because he's a proud Democrat who shares our values. Now, he needs our support.

Justin is facing a competitive general election against a right-wing Republican opponent. Meet BYD and our allies in Coney Island on Saturday, Sept. 23 to knock doors!

This is going to be a very close race, and we need your help to get the vote out!

Join us at 6:30pm on October 11th for a free event where we'll discuss candidly the realities of running for office in New York. This is a great event for anyone considering running for office one day, or who just wants to learn more about the ins and outs of New York politics!
